After today's game I just think Chelsea and Mourinho will part ways before the season is out

First half of the Hull game aside they've been ****e. Threw the kitchen sink at Everton today but it was easily dealt with. No guile. Mata lost in that system.

Nah, no way mate. Mourinho is there for the long haul IMO.

And if Chelsea keep playing like this then he needs a contract extension asap.

A £50m striker came on from the bench today and did less than nothing. Embarrassing.

Mourinho never had his teams playing exciting football so Chelsea knew what they were getting. He'll win them things, so will probably be happy with that. And he's revered there, so I can't see him going at the end of the year or even before that, as you're suggesting.
          Are we winning?

Be funny if he ****s up after Rafa did well for them tho.
            3rd place. Worst champions ever.

It may or may not - Who would Chelsea replace him with? - and what team would want to take on Mourinho. I think it was obvious when this happened the neither got their first choice (Guardiola & Utd) so are stuck with each other.

Brendan's going to be in demand next season methinks

                    Ridiculous decision rehiring Jose.

Strange one really in so far can he achieve what he did first time around again especially with the level of expectancy now being much higher than his first stint.

I expect him to do well there but I'm not sure he'll manage to surpass what he managed first time around.

I honestly thought he'd end up going with Lukaku, much better than Torres or Ba and bringing Eto'o in is a risk, he's basically been doing nothing for 2 years.

Don't rate Schurrle at all, thought he was massively overpriced at the time and I've seen nothing to change my mind. Mata has to be playing! They'd be much better off building around him than playing the way they are and I don't see how they can play and win titles with Oscar, Mata and Hazard all playing. It gets very predictable and if teams frustrate them they have no plan B, to be honest I thought he'd go after Di Maria.

The spectre of Jose was always going to be hanging around Chelsea. By re-hiring him they can be rid of it forever ,especially if he fails.Every other manager was held up to the standard he set and even when they won stuff it still wasn't good enough in the fans eyes.

At least now if it goes tits up Roman can turn to the fans and say "its your fault you bellends, you wouldn't except Rafa even though he had us winning things".

                          Can't wait to watch that

We still have that with Rafa, although some won't admit it.

Mourinho likes to have a lot of power in the side, and there simply isn't that in this Chelsea team. I wouldn't write them off. He's still learning about the type of players at his disposal, a very different kind of side he's used to having compared to his first stint at Chelsea, Inter and Real. He needs leaders who will fight for him, which might be why he went for Eto'o.

Agree on Rafa but it's becoming less of an issue I feel because Brendan is doing a good job and looks like he's the right man to get us back where we want to be. If it doesn't pan out though we know what will happen.

Different to Chelsea though cos it will only happen if Brendan fails, whereas those muppets wanted Jose back no matter how well the other managers did.

Too early to write them off. I think they are favorites for the league. It wont be as emphatic as his previous tenure at Chelsea as then he had the best squad and the first team in the PL by some distance. The current Chelsea team is not as good but they have some leaders with experience of putting together a strong run. They are among the favorites and will be in the top 3 come May.
