The Suarez biting incidents were indefensible but those major incidents aside I don't think Suarez really did anything that would endanger and opponent, there was the hair pulling and nipping presumably in an attempt to provoke a response, but those are 'gamesmanship' - which goes on in every game, perhaps Suarez took it a little further than most, but as I say I don't think any ever crossed the line.

The bites are different, as I mentioned they are indefensible and are rightly unacceptable in the game. Stamping incidents are fairly common and do not provoke the same out rage, but when done deliberately they are done with the intention of hurting an opponent, and I think that most of the people in the PL that I can recall being the victims of stampings have been lucky that they haven't been more seriously injured, as was the case with our two yesterday
