They sure got the better deal out of shipping out Schürlle and getting Cuadrado. THe only question is how long it will take for him to settle, he has all the ability and speed needed to be great here as well.

I struggle to believe that the money they actually receive for these deals is what's being quoted; perhaps the payment length is over a lot longer period than would be usual.

You are not alone on that. I think Schurlle is a better player than Cuadrado and one who did well enough with the time he got at Chelsea despite having a few injuries along the way.

I reckon Schurlle will excel with Wolfsburg, and that he would have done very well in England had he been under a manager who lets his better attackers do damage to the other team rather than expecting them to prevent damage to their own team first.


Put Schurlle in our team, or in the first team at Arsenal, or City and he would have supporters gushing over his attacking play.


Even put him in the current Southampton set up and we would al be wondering how Southampton got such a good attacking player.
