Chelsea have spent between 240 to 300 million on Morata, Bakayoko, Drinkwater, Rudiger, Zappacosta, Giroud, Barkley, Emerson in the last two transfer windows while selling their best striker on a cut price deal. Roman is not going to compete with Abu Dhabi, Qatar but they comfortably outspend almost all clubs. Not his fault that his scouts have gone full Commoli.Originally posted by Scratch View PostHas Roman lost interest in his plaything now, now that he realises he cannot complete with the financial doping going on at the Etihad? The club don't seem to be backing the manager, plus if Roman was on top of his game, Conte would be sacked in the morning before the rot really sets in.
Didn't Purslow work there for some time? I am wondering if the Fernando Torres of finance had something to do with transfers? Maybe he appointed some of his LFC scouting colleagues at Chelsea. Coz Chelsea's transfers have been beyond horrendous the last 2 years.

seven points but eight really if you count the goal difference.Originally posted by foresterbloke View PostSeven points ahead of them!
That was shocking by Chelsea yesterday. Man City played on Thursday and it was obvious they weren't fully at it and had mistakes in them (Walker, Otamendi and a good but inexperienced left-back).
Chelsea had a week to prepare and that's the best they come up with
. They could've gone at City full pelt, toe-to-toe, if there was anytime to do it, it would have been yesterday. Shocking, they don't deserve top 4 after that.
