Still, "hidden" from directly propping up Chelsea, but still directly funding.

I'm not familiar with the actual rule on being funded by an owner, I thought it was more in relation to the losses a club may post. The way he's structured it is transparent in the stat accounts - it has to be. But the way it's structured may have circumnavigated the rules

Unless of course you for some forsaken reason think I am from Dublin, in which case have at thee.

Can't remember who said it, but it was predicted as soon as the Chavs secured the FA Cup Final spot against us, their form would turn to dog muck.

They would be tired, lethargic and couldn't buy a win... right up until the kick-off at Wembley when they would turn back into a high press, energy filled bunch of lunatics.

First part of that has definitely come true. Let's hope the second part is sheer hopefulness on behalf of the Chav supporters...

Would be shocked if they took their current league form into the final. The final is all they have left to play for this season so they will be up for it in that game. Best to expect them to be at their best in that game and if they are not, then happy days. If they are....well just means we might have to win a close game instead

Agreed - plan for the 'best version of Chelsea' to turn up and put them to the sword if they're miles off it.

Just don't want it to go to ET and pens again...

Damn, I didn't know he was leaving too!

Chalobah is looking like a pretty good defender but Sarr, Mbuyamba, and a seemingly immortal Silva are all they'll have left! Losing Rudiger will be a massive blow to them....

Tuchel seems like such a spikey character, comes across as a very dislikeable guy even since his Dortmund days. Watch Lukaku score 30 goals if he goes elsewhere next season. Shearer done a great analysis of why Lukaku hasn't worked in Tommy T's system. Their build from midfield is just too slow and even why they get it in the wide areas they aren't spotting his runs. There does seems genuinely unrest there, Havertz has been average, Werner has been average, Kante way off his best, Saul is a dud, Rudiger will be a massive loss for them, Thiago nearing the end. They have some very good players in Mount, James, Kovacic and been really impressed with Alonso who has to be one of the fittest players of all time & Chilwell to come back in. Pulisic is talented but injury prone, Ziyech has been bang average too.

If the likes of Havertz, Werner, Ziyech and if Rom stays and they all kick in then they are looking decent but remains to be seen.

I think Rudiger, Christiansen and Azpilcueta are all set to go at at least

Azpilcueta has been an incredible servant for them. I think he's a total prick of a player but he's been fantastic for them over the years. Rudiger is going to be hard for them to replace. Christiansen I can't say I've been too impressed with but considering Silva's age... that is a lot of changing in any defence.

They are stacked up top assuming they all stay + the age profile is good with the exception of Lukaku. He’s a weird one - I think he is a good player if you play yo his strengths but looks like he strops if you don’t. They might offload him this summer.

Wing backs they are covered - maybe back up to James aside and in midfield Saul (who I thought was great btw) has absolutely BOMBED. Shift him back to AM and then use Gallagher maybe to slot in. Jorginho and Kante are getting on also so they need to refresh there.

Their central defence rebuild without Romans “loans” will be very interesting - Rudiger, Azpi and Christiansen have been mainstays - they have to replace all 3 which would be ball park 120m. If they kept Guehi and Tomori they’d have had two of them

Presumably they’re going to have to operate like a normal club under their new owners?

That’s a lot of defenders to have to replace, before they even get to additions in other areas.
Those 3 are all leaving on frees as well aren’t they?

Tomori was sold to AC Milan.
Guehi was sold to Crystal Palace.

                                Great future planning!
