They didnt want Rafa and now they're finding out how stupid that was.
They'd be safely in the top half now if he was manager, probably competing for a Europa League spot.
With that said, they'd probably not be happy with that either.

The only gracious way to accept an insult is to ignore it; if you can't ignore it, top it; if you can't top it, laugh at it; if you can't laugh at it, it's probably deserved.

Shaggy and I were reading a Villa forum where, aside from 2 or 3 posters, the rest were all vehemently against the idea of Rafa getting the job, they were scoffing at how **** he is and turning their noses up at the idea of him getting the job of managing the 'mighty' VillaOriginally posted by magicalbarnes View PostDid they mock Rafa? I thought they wanted him?

maybe rafa wouldnt go there having to operate on a tight budget, or the owner wouldnt take him with all the spending plans rafa would have been insisting on. reckon the owner went for mcleish hoping he could just keep them ticking over mid-table, but without too much expenditure [after o'neill went shopping].Originally posted by rcasemore View PostAnd yet they plumped for McLeish a proven winner

Originally posted by Shaggy View PostYep, literally a couple of them in a very long thread. The rest belittled him and laughed at the idea. Same in my experience on Twitter, they were all like "if we give that cunt a job I'm ripping up my season ticket".
They had a poll there on whom they prefer as the next manager, Rafa had like 3 votes. Hughes, Coyle, all had greater than 50
