      Maybe the thinking is, get the most boring person on the team, and the media will be forced to talk about football rather than everything else. Trouble is, the football will be so bad, they should have picked Terry as captain again.

                            No FA Cup and if you count 1 start and 3 sub appearances as winning the league then yeah I suppose. He didnt qualify for a medal though.

                            He did play a part in the early rounds of Chelsea's League Cup win so that could count to be fair.

                              I think its a good think that SG didn't get the captaincy for ****ty England as I think he will defo bin this **** after the Euros and the mighty Liverpool gain from that.

                                We're going to do absolutely **** in the Euro's regardless of who's captain.

                                If Gerrard was England captain for the Euros he would bear the brunt of that.
