I am also don't agree with Baines as the left back choice, makes to many defensive errors in imo. Lacks enough concentration.

Always a tough ask to name a team of the season. Not many players perform for a season, do its normally deciding to pick from a few who performed for three months or so, Such as Young and Ben Arfa.

Demba Ba also had a great start but faded. And I fail to see how any Liverpool player can get mentioned.

Enrique would be nailed on for left back if the second half of his season hadn't been so poor.

Generally speaking I agree, but I don't think there's really been any better out there. This tends to happen with the fullbacks every time these lists get made!

Ditto Baines. Are fullbacks just too **** to make it elsewhere on the pitch?

A dearth of other options meant Baines was the only choice for me. Evra's wank. Cole's had it, Clichy very average.

Good shout with Ekotu At left back. I would sub Parker for Song.

Assou Ekotto is another one - started the season brilliantly but has been arguably their biggest flop since their form turned to ****. Dismal drop in form.

I think Johnson, Ivanovic and the variety of players United have used have all done better than Richards and Walker. I'd argue that Sagna has made a big difference to Arsenal too since he came back from injury.

I think there is a tendency to see faults in fullbacks as they are asked to contribute to attack and defence and it is hard to be great at both.

I thought about that, but Enrique has been more disappointing IMO. And who else is there? Evra and Clichy have been ****. Baines has been pretty anonymous IMO.
