I'd take that if it was from a solid mid table club but as they're big relegation candidates it's too risky. Nice offer though.

well if he doesn't want to go why should he forced to sign for someone ****?Originally posted by cream View PostNow what would be the point in that?
Plus from a personal point of view, i've spent a season defending him to all comers, he starts to look a player and show big signs of whats to come and he's shown the door.Always borrow money from a pessimist. He won’t expect it back. Oscar Wilde

It might be better for all concerned if he leaves, gets his carrier back on track because he ain't going to get the opportunity here.Originally posted by BobTheCharmer View Postwell if he doesn't want to go why should he forced to sign for someone ****?

If we let him go and get £15-20m for him, we'll still need to buy a striker, as there don't seem to be any obvious bargains out there we'll probably spend it all on a replacement. Plus we'll have to pay a signing on fee, maybe pay Carroll off (and maybe be forced to pay some of wages), I don't see us being any better off by selling him, his form was promising towards the end of last season and now he has a point to prove, if it doesn't work out with him I don't see his value dropping, and if he does well his value will rise.

Wow. Would West 'am really pay £80k in wages? That'd be quite some deal but I don't believe it.Originally posted by Shaggy View Post...

he'll be gone of that I have no doubt. I'd prefer a loan with no option to buy. If he comes good for someone else in the same league it'll be hard to bare.Originally posted by cream View PostIt might be better for all concerned if he leaves, gets his carrier back on track because he ain't going to get the opportunity here.Always borrow money from a pessimist. Coming good for West Ham though would be a long way from coming good for us.Originally posted by BobTheCharmer View Posthe'll be gone of that I have no doubt. I'd prefer a loan with no option to buy. If he comes good for someone else in the same league it'll be hard to bare.
