I think you need to take stock as to where we are at the moment, the money we have, the attractiveness of the club and note Carroll's improvement of late.

We'd all like to see world class players here but it isn't going to happen. Carroll has shown a lot of improvement recently and deserves another year.

i dont understand how people can think that Caroll is leaving based on the BR press conference , if you watch it again he makes the same comment about other players not just AC...it was just a general statement...I would be very suprised if AC was shipped out - it would make no sense - just get him playing well & then another team profits

Mostar-- I know how you feel about this move, but let's look at this from a purely footballing perspective first since, I think we all agree, this is what matters in the end.

If BR is looking to get us playing like Spain/Barca or at least in the style of possession, passing and controlling the ball, I am not sure where AC fits in at all. Look at Spain, which is crazy to compare I know, but philosophically-- Fernando Llorente didn't get a sniff and Negredo struggled in their system. If we're moving to a -- hate typing this-- false nine style with Suarez/Gerrard as our backbone in attack, how do you fit Andy in there with the way he plays? I don't think it is a judgement on Carroll's ability, but I can't see him playing a flowing style, holding it up and making great runs and passes on the floor to work the ball into the box.

It sucks that we've been a work in progress for two seasons, but I get the feeling it's here we go again, only this time, I believe there is a REAL plan and philosophy in place and I back the manager to get us in his mold and playing the way he needs us to play. You can't leave AC on the bench all season; not sure how he can get serious time and for his cash value, might as well sell. That said, the idea he would be valued at 10 mil and Borini at 11 is a ****ing joke. Don't like that BR ran his mouth at a presser and now everyone thinks they can get AC on the cheap-- very poor. But he should go for 20 and we need to bring in De Jong or similar and a great RW. I think we could be flying...

It's quite the overhaul of our striking department; Carroll and Bellamy (potentially) out, Borini and hopefully another in, to work alongside Suarez.

To be fair, we all knew our defensive five and the centre of the park was good enough on paper; perhaps the four enquiries he's made have all been attack minded folk.

As for Carroll, I'd be sad to see him go.

maybe the loan of carroll to someone like west ham would suit andy's playing style better. he might get a few goal, look a better player, and then we might be able to get a serious price for him at the end of the year.

If someone does come in for Andy for about £20-25m we should probably sell imo. We'd lose about £10m but so would they.
