Well I've yet to see us sign anyone better. We are at a level, and we need to get out of it.

Okay, a goal every 313 minutes isn't great but you're doing him a massive disservice by putting your six in 42 stat up. Take a look at how he performed towards the end of last season - do you think he won't better a goal every three-and-a-half games next year?

Who do you think we could realistically sign as a replacement? You seem to have all these ideas about what's good enough and what isn't good enough without having a reasonable solution.

Yes his record in all competitons was better, his league record was pretty awful though (which is all I was using) I believe is was 4 goals in the equivalent of 22 full games (in terms of minutes).

I think it is reasonable to assume we could sign a player who can score more than 4 league goals.

Ahhh, so everything is based on last season, we'd be moving lots of players out every year on that basis, even Suarez could have scored loads more than he has.

If BR want's rid because he does'nt fit his style of play, that's fair enough, but imo AC will become a good solid player, that will chip in with enough goals each season to be of value to his team.

Yeah, I love seeing Spearing and Downing in the team. And the likes of Poulsen and Konchesky before that.

I think you need to take stock as to where we are at the moment, the money we have, the attractiveness of the club and note Carroll's improvement of late.

We'd all like to see world class players here but it isn't going to happen. Carroll has shown a lot of improvement recently and deserves another year.
