Finally saw the FA cup semi highlights. Carroll has not got a bad touch, he's certainly not a Heskey. A split second slow with the second touch when his long legs catch up with his brain, but he usually has his bulk to shield the ball by then. His lay offs are usually at the right pace and placement.
If he keeps picking up confidence he could easily become our very own Mario Gomez. One tit for another.

Some of his layoffs have been brilliant, and not just a pass backwards, I spotted him make a great first time outside of the boot layoff into the path of a player on the right wing (Gerrard?). That's the kind of play that will get us wins. I think when we see a fully confident Carroll, we'll have a seriously beast of a player.Originally posted by BigChief View PostFinally saw the FA cup semi highlights. He started against newcastle i think so not sure thats true. We do have generally better results when he startsOriginally posted by tsb View PostFrom the Beeb
Liverpool have not lost any of the last 10 matches that Andy Carroll has started - winning eight of them - and have not won the past eight without him in the side (D3, L5).Bob Paisley - "This club has been my life. I'd go out and sweep the street and be proud to do it for Liverpool if they asked me to."

They're quite often wrong
The only gracious way to accept an insult is to ignore it; if you can't ignore it, top it; if you can't top it, laugh at it; if you can't laugh at it, it's probably deserved.

A bit frustrating today. As with everyone needs to convert some of his chances. Seems to like dropping deep on occasion, when he really needs to be in the thick of it, seemed to be getting outmuscled on a few crosses, and needs to try and find space a bit better by making better runs. Hold up play was decent though and he looks like he has a bit of a swagger tho, needs even more goals to justify it.Modifying post.

It's a bit hit and miss these tactics we're seeing this season. It's all very well hitting the final third for >60% of the game, but if there's no space or confusion in their back line, you may as well play against a wall.Originally posted by Buzzo View PostA bit frustrating today. I just don't think Andy has played in a well thought out LFC formation.
