Well fall back on his 'scored when he wasn't injured' Newcastle goals then?

Lets do career league goals: 38 in 132 games

Why do we search for ulterior motives, when really, we just lacked patience?
Or, alternatively, we are just too patient at times

Carroll has been getting better in the past few months but I'd agree we still need another striker as we are still light on genuine threats infront of goal IMO.

Looks worse every time I see it. Shocking how this **** gets overlooked.

Of all the traits visible on this forum, patience isn't one of them.

Did the ref book Essien? Is there any chance that he might be punished retrospectively?

He got booked for it. It won't be taken any further

I didn't see the game but this is awful.

The media seem to be over looking it - sky didn't mention it at half time (I'm not sure if they did at full time because I didn't see much after the final whistle), the only unsavory incident mentioned in the reports I read was the one involving Suarez

IMO it's as clear a red card as you're likely to see, he could have broken Caroll's leg.
The only gracious way to accept an insult is to ignore it; if you can't ignore it, top it; if you can't top it, laugh at it; if you can't laugh at it, it's probably deserved.

The went on more about Agger's "scissor" tackle than they did about Essien's attempted leg-breaker.

                              Scandlous but hardly a surprise

Sky barely mentioned it but Souness was all over the fact that Ivanovic should have seen red. He even got Butch Wilkins to agree with him
