Did we take out an Ad ?Originally posted by Shaggy View PostThe stories have been given to the press by the club.
Unless it's an elaborate plan by Rodgers to motivate Carroll then it seems pretty certain he's on his way.
I suppose ultimately it's up to Andy and if he doesn't want to go then he can dig his heels in, stay and fight for his place.

Top to bottom incompentance that deal was, ****ed it up from the off.Originally posted by Lee View PostAnd the interest that we had to stump up for paying a day late.

What did we say....something like....'We wanted 15mill profit from the Torres money' ?... what sort of negotiating is that!
Bloody hell, atleast we know that won't ever happen again. Lesson learned.

How is that Carroll's fault if Kenny doesn't play him regularly?Originally posted by kingfunk View PostDidi has just hit the nail on the head:
@DietmarHamann: If LFC want to get near the top 4 this season you need players who hit ground running and not start playing in last 10 games when itstoolate
I think he has been badly mismanaged.
He was dropped so many times when he has shown signs of improvement in the game before.
Here is an interesting stat.
He started only 17 games in Pl last season and only 5 times started 2 games or more in a row..Member #1 of the Luis Suarez fan club

Yes, but he was also one the top ten most played players and often did nothing to justify his inclusion in the starting line up.Originally posted by Mostar View PostHow is that Carroll's fault if Kenny doesn't play him regularly?

We haven't done him any favours on the footballing side that's for sure, and i hate hearing ex players come out with stuff like this.Originally posted by Mostar View PostHow is that Carroll's fault if Kenny doesn't play him regularly?

does he not mean that it wasnt assumed in the £35 feeOriginally posted by Chris View PostPretty meaningless if true :
Mike Ashley – club will get 25% of next Andy Carroll transfer fee
That’s in excess of the £35M

It's true but at least heads have rolled and people have been held accountable (although Commoli probably got a nice pay off). Easiest job in football that....being given a wad of cash to sign good players and he still messed it up. Dalglish should take the share of the blame too but if Commoli's the Director of Football then the buck stops with him and he should have purchased and advised better. For example, 'No Kenny, we're not paying 20m for Downing and 35m for Carroll as my footballing knowledge tells me they are not worth that price. How about these other players...'Originally posted by Vermilion View PostTop to bottom incompentance that deal was, ****ed it up from the off.

I think Alarm bells should have been ringing from the top of the club to the bottom on this, the club was about to break the british transfer record for an Englishman after all.
I think the 50mill coming in for Torres made everyone careless and maybe even a bit carefree.
Money's gone now anyway, we'll never see anywhere near it again.Last edited by Vermilion; 12-07-12, 12:25 PM.
