    In what position?

A position to be able to actually play week in week out? It was up to West Ham to assess his fitness and whether to start him straight away or not. We/Rodgers didn't force them to throw him straight in.

A bit **** of Rodgers to put him in this position imo.

Hammys can go anytime lads. This 'always having someone to blame' attitude can go a bit far.

The fact that he blatantly ignored Carroll since he got back from his hols. How many pre season games did he start, and more importantly how many competitive games did he start (taking Euro games into consideration)?
That's your answer, the fact that Rodgers refused to utilise Carroll means that he's over exerted himself to show his new club his value, and done his hammy in due to his lack of game time/match fitness whatever you'd like to call it.

Yes, you can blame West Ham, but we'd have done exactly the same if we were in their position.

Your too good to be true, can't take the ball off you you got a heavenly touch, you pass like Sounness to rush. And when we're pissed in the bars we thank the Lord that your ours

Agree with Reece, if West Ham knew he wasn't match fit why the **** did they start him then?

Crazy decision. I mean what was Rodgers thinking preparing the players that would be playing for LFC in pre-season when he could have had big Andy raring to go for West Ham.

Clearly out of his depths at a club like Liverpool.
If we are all only happy when we are really winning in the end, when your race finishes, what life would that be?

I agree with Baldy as well. It's hardly Rodgers's (or should that be Rodgii) fault that Carroll over exerted himself. that has to be the fault of the player

carroll didnt exactly play all that many games last year for us, he didnt exactly play all that many games for engurland at the euros either yet he was the one who decided to take extended holidays to "recuperate" from the long season. he came back to us very late in the pre season programme at which point rodgers couldnt exactly throw him straight in to the first team and play him for the exact reason as has happened with him now at west ham.

had he taken a better view of his own fitness a la borini and forgone a longer unnecessary break and concentrated more on his fitness then perhaps he wouldnt have done his hammy.

either way, the blame shoudl fall soley on west ham for picking a player that must have obviously been not fit enough for the game.

and we have been in west hams position with enrique not being fully fit yet we didnt throw him into a game - we utilised a small squad and played a winger in his position instead.
People who think there's no good way to die have obviously never heard the phrase 'Drug-fuelled-sex-heart-attack'.

Carroll was so intent on impressing at West Ham that he over exerted himself when he probably wasn't match fit.. these things happen.

We should probably worry about our own striking options rather than West Hams.

It was West Ham's decision to play him and it's their problem he injured himself. Criticising Rodgers or anyone at Liverpool for any of it is mystifying.

Suppose you have a physicist and a sociologist standing at the side of a field, observing a set of events unfolding on the field. The physicist does [describes] it using the terminology of mass and velocity and frequency of radiation and the rest. And the sociologist does it by describing it as a rugby match.
