It astonishes me why any black player would want to play in Turkey given how much of a racism problem there is/there has been.

I'm not claiming anything, because I've never been there and don't know about the country, but I've seen Joseph Yobo and one or two others saying that racism isn't much of a problem there and that it's worse in England. I guess it just depends on the individual.
