      Cheers

Always thought Emre was a quality player, until he joined Newcastle.

Wasn't aware of the accusations he got whilst there.

He was accused of racially abusing Lescott, I recall.

Haha, just like LFC fans were. Is 'Klingon' racist though?

Nah Emre's was definitely a different word, but the FA didn't charge despite having 3 witnesses to the incident.

Based on what is this deemed a racist attack? Because Eboue is black or because everyone in here speaks fluent Turkish and is well versed in the incident?

Funny how in the Suarez thread everyone jumped to his defence and said it was the typical British xenophobia and ignorance yet when something like this happens everyone is ready to call Turkish fans a disgrace. I'm fairly sure it's how opposition fans reacted to our support for Suarez. Ah, double standards.

Take out the racism factor - a fan coming onto the pitch and trying to attack a player IS disgraceful.

What part of it isnt??? When something like this happens, of course it's disgraceful.

"Local observers in Turkey suggest the rough treatment could be race-related but the Black Eagles’ fans claim the Ivorian’s play-acting on the pitch is what provoked the reaction."

Well it may or not have been race-related, but the fans are hardly likely to say "Oh yeah, it was racist, we hate black people"

Why would I take out the racism factor when I'm talking about racism? Of course it's a disgrace but that's not my point at all.
