I think we need radical investment in school sports to get kids proper coaching at a young age to develop talents early. Usual PE stuff for me was put n a bib pass the ball in triangles for 5 minutes and have a 5 a side game. while the teacher tries to ref two games at a time. Nothing worthwhile at all.

No way we can fix our problems in 7-9 years. Its going to take 15 years minimum.

The P.E./sport we did when I was at school was a joke. We weren't taught anything, just given a ball and left to it.

I've altered the above quote to be nearer to what Bodge actually said, as when i heard Bodge saying it, i remember thinking at the time that we must have tried to pull Sturridge out of both games, and that Bodge must have insisted on him joining up. ****.
