Drinkwater has the season of his life and still cant get in the squad, Wilshere plays one game in nine months or whatever it is and gets in.

        ****ing **** on that lad.

4-4-2 diamond would seem the best option given the squad, but with that dinosaur in charge it will most likely end up being something he saw working once back in 1976.

I'm a bit surprised wilshere made it, but drinkwater should surely have made the squad for one of the strikers to be dropped considering they could still have had 3 and Rooney. Wilshere is the most talented midfielder and if he can be fit, you have to take the risk considering the other midfield options.

Rashford scoring screwed Hodgson because if he didn't pick him he would have had to deal with the media scrutiny. Now he has 4 strikers AND Rooney and is lacking in the one area of the pitch he needed to deal with... Midfield.

I quite like him there as a playmaker - would more or less enforce a diamond and hard working players elsewhere in midfield. My prediction for England's exit would be that we will look ace until an injury makes Hodgson play Wilshere and Rooney in the same midfield and we are eliminated in one of history's least exciting games.

Leeds United have had 6 managers since Jack Wilshere last completed a full 90 minutes for Arsenal.

England playing against 10, Bruno Alves was kung fu fighting - just a little bit frightening.

Funny how trying to get Rooney into the team and pushing both Kane and Vardy wide causes it to go to ****.

                              Goal from Smalling.

first bit of proper width in the team has helped.
