We got some good years out of Heskey to be fair, he scored 60 goals for us over the years which is around a 1 in 4 record. Not bad considering Houllier inexplicably used him as a winger (?!!?) for a while.

Mate of mine went and got Gonzalez on his shirt. Was convinced he would become "the best winger in the world". He never wore that top much.

I very nearly went out and got Torres on my shirt after that pic of him with the World Cup and a Liverpool scarf. They'd run out of 9's...my next pick was Joe Cole...luckily they were out of 1's too so I didn't get anything. The only time I've ever considered having a players name on my shirt

I have only 2 shirts with players names. Both number 8 as well. Collymore 8 in 1995 (the massive v neck Adidas shirt) and Gerrard 8 on the last Rafateam home shirt.

Best shirt for me was one with the thick adidas stripes from the shoulder going into the chest. Class! Both the red and green kits!
