There was a statement that even after the signing of Hulk they'll be in with a shout of reaching FFP targets this year.

    Kalou
    Bosingwa
    Drogba
    Anelka
    possibly Malouda

All off their wage bill is one hell of a cut.

They'll carry on spending though no doubt.

It might not be a case of either/or Hulk will play from a wide right position and take Sturridges place.

If Roman decides to go for it Falcao can play ahead of Torres.

        Released players revealed
Big names among list of Premier League free agents

        Last Updated: June 1, 2012 5:12pm

Former England internationals Owen Hargreaves and Michael Owen are among the players who are available on free transfers this summer.

Manchester City confirmed last month that they would not offering injury-hit midfielder Hargreaves a new deal, while striker Owen broke the news he was heading for the Old Trafford exits via Twitter.

All clubs are required to submit their players released and players retained lists to the Premier League by the third Saturday in May, apart from Chelsea who had a deadline of four days following the UEFA Champions League final.

Striker Didier Drogba revealed he would be leaving Stamford Bridge, while Salomon Kalou and Jose Bosingwa have been shown the door by the European champions.

It is understood that Fulham are still in talks with Danny Murphy and Pavel Pogrebnyak about extended stays with talks on-going and offers made to the key duo.

But the Cottagers are not in discussions with striker Andrew Johnson, midfielder Bjorn Helge Riise or defender Zdenek Grygera about new deals, and they are set to leave Craven Cottage.

Although defender Ledley King was not on Tottenham's retained list following the expiration of his contract, he says he will be back at White Hart Lane next season in either a playing or coaching capacity.

Paul Scholes was named on Manchester United's released players list, but has since signed a new deal with the Red Devils, while former Liverpool defender Fabio Aurelio has joined Gremio after seeing out his Anfield contract.

          Man City have released Mancini?

Id take Rodallega as an option from the bench...

Can't believe that Darby was still with us!

Some big names available then. Can't say there's (m)any that I'd like us to sign though.

              Spurs releasing Saha and Nelsen?

That can't be right, unless they were only on loan?

32 now and i think i read he was leaving for a new challenge, he needed to play a certain number of games to trigger a new contract but didn't hit the number

Ahh, it wasn't so long ago that the media were going on about how Almunia could play for England ... ha!

I always thought Darby looked decent and thought he might have made it ... obviously not. Guthrie being released by Newcastle is a bit of a surprise, but Ashley is keen to get them in the black and I thought everybody was raving about Assulin?
