Can't believe Sunderland bid 12mil for Steven Fletcher.....the world has gone mad.

Moses has represented England at youth level but his dad is Nigerian.

I honestly don't think that the fee for Fletcher is that mad. He's probably one of the the best PL proven strikers a team in the middle of the table can attract. He wins a lot of headers which should work well in an O'Neill team. Prices are inflated in that part of the market because of the number of clubs who comprise it - i.e. greater competition for each signing. For Sunderland that premium is probably worth it.

i know fletcher personally . .. . . . . . well not personally, but ive met him before . . . . . . although say met, i basically stood behind him in the queue at HMV back when he played with Hibs

seriously though, bloody good player even back then. fans loved him because he wasnt a money driven footballer (turned down rangers and celtic to remain with hibs another year and won a move to england). I used to have season ticket for the hibees and fletcher has so much to his game. hes very intelligent with the ball, strong for a skinny lad and has an eye for goal. 12 mill for proven talent in PL at a lower level team is good bit of business. just a bit gutted it looks like sunderland gonna get him cause i hate that **** martin o'neil!!!

I'm surprised... “@chelseafc: This evening, @R_Lukaku has completed a loan move to @WBAFCofficial until the end of the season. #CFC (SL)”

Clarke is calling in some old contacts then.

Thought Lukaku was nailed-on for Fulham.

              Odemwingie's off then isn't he.

Wolves are fighting to hang on to Matt Jarvis after rejecting a £9million bid from West Ham, Press Association Sport understands.
                  Ridiculous money.

Your heart goes out to Mancini, I dunno how he's managed under City's totalitarian transfer policy.

Manager Roberto Mancini admitted Manchester City have given up on signing Robin van Persie after expressing his frustration with the club's transfer policy.

Regardless of money spent, he knows Its imperative you buy when you're on top. Their stalling could cost them big time. Chelsea did similar. When you have utd on the ropes you go for the kill.

i couldn't believe we were willing to pay those sums either for those two, but i guess thats 21st century professional football for you.

I think Fletcher is a decent enough player but i don't think he is worth anymore than 7.5-8mil especially as wolves are relegated.

Don't forget the new TV deal coming in next season which increases value by 50% unless I'm mistaken?

Clubs are just spending the money they know's on its way

Fair play to him if that's true, if any club could afford to sack a manager it's them, and he knows it, so fair play for putting doing his job right; over keeping it and doing things which are iho wrong.
