That would be great for us. They'd have no steel in midfield at all. Bale, Meireles and Lennon in midfield

Agreed a deal with Southampton in July but then called off due to a third party claiming some of the transfer fee.

Big downgrade on Baines for sure, well financially anyway!!

Since I've never heard of him and Southampton and QPR were after him I'm going to assume he's ****

Even though Assaidi is an almost identical case with us.
Thanks very much for being ‘This Mornings’ Farmer’

At least Ajax were after Assaidi though, they're a bit ****, but they're definitely better than Southampton and QPR

Ajax sound like us. Illustrious past, modern CL winners, now ****.

United look set to bolster their ranks with the signing of 23-year-old left-back Alexander Buttner from Vitesse Arnhem.

Don't know anything about this lad but LB is certainly a weak area for them.

Tottenham have made a shock move to sign 28-year-old Arsenal striker Marouane Chamakh.

If true then AVB will certainly get the Spurs fans on side with this one

Fernando Llorente's agent has admitted the Athletic Bilabo ace could move to the Premier League before the close of the transfer window.

The Spain international seems set to leave Bilbao after turning down a new deal at the Basque outfit.

Juventus are thought to be leading the chase for Llorente having already made several bids for the giant striker's services.

However, the likes of Tottenham, Chelsea and Manchester City have all been credited with an interest in the 27-year-old.

Llorente's representative, Carlos Arino Bajo, claims two Premier League clubs - one from London and one from Manchester - have expressed an interest in signing the player.

"Tomorrow [Wednesday] Llorente will speak to his destination," Arino Bajo told the Daily Telegraph. "It is very, very possible he will decide to go to the Premier League.

"I don't know the [choice of] club at the moment but there are two [interested] clubs. One is in London, and one is in Manchester."
