Spain
Croatia
Surprised that jelavic isn't first choice.
We may have a **** squad, but we're bloody hard to beat under Trap. That rug really tied the room together.

That does sound knackering! That said I have an 8 hour red-eye flight from NYC to Berlin on Friday night, followed by a 1 hour flight to Gdansk and then a four hour train ride to Poznan. Will be absolutely devo if I don't sleep on the flight or train. All I need is a portly travel companion and I'll have my own version of Planes, Trains & Automobiles.Originally posted by danperkins View PostYeah mate, ah **** it the boys will do the best they can. I hope Spain don't hop off us, but i can see us sitting in our penalty area parking the bus. We are capable of grabbing something from Croatia & Italy IMO.
Whatever happens it's great to be there and going to be amazing over there
We fly into Munich have night out there, next morning picking up my campervan and driving up to Poznan, staying Carlsberg Fancamp.
Then going to Gdansk for 2 days for Spain game, staying in Gdansk Carlsberg Fancamp. Off we go back to Poznan for few days for Italy game & then back to Munich to drop camper off and for night out! Sounds exhausting already
I'll be there for the Croatia and Spain games. Meeting up with four mates from Dublin in Poznan on Saturday and then taking the train to Gdansk on Tuesday. We looked into the camper van option but by the time we got around to sorting everything they were mostly sold out. Staying in a couple of hotels instead ... paid a bit over the odds probably but loving the idea of the extra comfort now.
Have a feeling we might surprise a few people - tough team to beat and all. In an office pool here I backed Ireland to get out of the group as runners up, beat France in the quarters and lose to Germany in the semi's. Would love to get that chance for revenge against Henry (handball), Evra (for Saurez) and the rest of them cunts.

Yeah these kinda trips are always awkward, no easy way around accommodation, either pay over the odds or go the campervan route which is a trek. Apparently because so many people in Ireland choose to go by road as Euro2012 packages were so expensive, the package costs have dropped from 1450 to 800!!! But in all fairness who is going to chance waiting that long.
Ah i'm not expecting us to get out of the group, but we are definitely capable of stifling teams and apart from Spain IMO we could take points off both Croatia and Italy. And would love to get a crack against the French after last time!!
Regardless of what happens the atmosphere is going to be incredible, hoping everything goes smoothly and there are no hiccups with transport and accommodation. Hope ya have a fantastic time mate as this probably won't be happening again anytime soon

While I we don't play the most attractive football the record is impressive and I really hope Trap and the boys can make it out of the group. Looking forward to Sunday all ready

You too! I was at a qualifier in Stuttgart a few years ago (Staunton was manager) for three days, so if that's anything to go by this will be brilliant. Reading Tony O'Donoghue on RTE the other day, he mentioned the 6000 ticket allocation from the FAI and how that figure would more accurately represent the number of non-Irish fans in the stadium on match day. Regardless of the results, I'm sure it will be an immensely enjoyable experience - but a win or two would be fantastic.Originally posted by danperkins View PostRegardless of what happens the atmosphere is going to be incredible, hoping everything goes smoothly and there are no hiccups with transport and accommodation. Nice to see Irish and English fans getting along
Outside #eng hotel. Irish fans chanting 'Maradona' at #eng fans, who respond with 'you're going down with the Euro"

They also threw in "Fields of Athenry", "You'll Never Beat the Irish" and that old favourite "Terry is a Racist".Originally posted by souliv View PostNice to see Irish and English fans getting along
