If Real Madrid and Barcelona are the two clubs that every player wants to play for. Why would Messi who has made it at Barca leave to 'prove' himself in another league. Yes Ronaldo has proved himself in two countries, but circumstances mean that Messi hasn't had that opportunity why should that make him any less of a player?Originally posted by Deano View PostHe's clearly a class player, but, its the Spanish league, and he's in the best side, as much as I hate it, fake Ronaldo produced in England and Spain. The only gracious way to accept an insult is to ignore it; if you can't ignore it, top it; if you can't top it, laugh at it; if you can't laugh at it, it's probably deserved.

I am, so perhaps the slightly older and more nostalgic posters will see Maradona as the greatest. I can't help but think Maradona gets some grace because of his loveable rogue image compared to Lionel ' goody-two-shoes' Messi as we all love a bad 'un (within reason).
Bar a World Cup winners medal (which I don't think is a true barometer of greatness), Messi is consistently dazzling and his figures are just phenomenal. From a bloke who is a border line midget and looks like he's going to be chunky as soon as he takes his footy boots off for good. This guy shouldn't glide past people with a ball that looks like it is glued to his foot!
He's awesome. But l appreciate it's horses **** horses.

Not by much thoughBob Paisley - "This club has been my life. I'd go out and sweep the street and be proud to do it for Liverpool if they asked me to."
