How much do you tend to spend on LFC for you and your son / family? The odd replica shirt, or anything more (or less)?
For me personally, my LFC spend is just about zero most years. But I don't have kids, and on the rare occasion I go to games, I'm sorted out for a ticket by folk on here. I think I bought my nephew some LFC Top Trumps last Christmas. Did a stadium tour last time I went to Anfield. That's about it.
I haven't bought a replica shirt since the days of Torres. And I don't pay for a sports TV subscription.

I don't really spend much now that I think about it, he gets kits for X-mas or birthday from grand parents etc. but that's it. But I also do think it's maybe best for him not to be associated with this friggin club
* The above is posted in my opinion. Feel free to disagree.

I'm on zero this year.
I've always had an international membership and for a while had paytv, but I now get EPL free (legit) and didn't bother renewing my membership this season.
My dad will no doubt send me a shirt for xmas but that doesn't really count as it's not my cash.
Yep, add in all the other costs its crazy, cant imagine how much lads who go to aways and in europe must spend.
I look at it like I pay in £25 a week to go to say 26 games a year, 26 days out. Could probably go a nice week long holiday for that.
I dont regret it, but when you look at the total figure and think of it in terms of house etc its mad
It's nuts to think of the time and money we spend on this sport. I guess when you put it into perspective most people would jump at the chance to have a season ticket though...

Memories and connections are what contribute most of the quality of most people's lives and the camaraderie through a shared experience of success, failure, frustration and jubilation are what keep us coming back for more despite our (and yes me too) constant threats of letting the whole thing go.

Club merchandise is still a bloody rip off and the constant changes contribute to rampant consumerism and waste so I'm against it.
