Did he bottle playing in the EPL or did nobody match his PSG offer?
Bit of both i think...not sure at the age of 34 he really wants to risk the physicality of the prem, much better to pick up a mammoth wage in a 2 team league and then retire a very wealthy man.

The psg offer was over a mil a week. No club in the EPL can afford that. I thought maybe Chelsea/City but he's off the scale in terms of rinsing clubs he LOVES.

What a little prick. Floods of crocodile tears one day at his Barca funeral....signs for PSG on astronomical wages the next day

He's one of the best but still a little prick. I hope we meet them in the CL group stage and make them look like muppets.

As it flew through the club shop, interesting that there was a neymar jersey in the shot, but not mbappe… they must know he’s off to Anfield, next week!!

Class from Edwards again- wait til the end of the window, so we’re not paying him over the summer, when we have no games- save a couple of million…

Those wages look huge but I suspect the likes of Donnarumma and Gini - as well as Leo obviously - have also been given huge signing on fees.

Wouldn't mind signing Rafinha or Draxler if they were going cheap. Although would prefer Pedri, Moriba or as someone else mentioned, de Jong.

It would be great if barca went on and had a good season without Messi..... But I doubt it will happen. Not under Koeman anyway

                      £650k per week

I'd always assumed he would go on to be a 'retire the jersey' one club man at Barca, thats a legacy. He just seems like a complete prick and is in a bigger way than he realises responsible for the mess at Barca. He seemed to have taken on a director of football role over the last few years. His thumbs up or down being pivotal in what they did and who they signed and sold. All of that with no view on a bigger picture.

Hope PSG draw Barca in the CL at some point.

One expects that secretly, Barca are glad to be rid of him. Great player, but in the latter half of his time at Barca always came across as bigger than the club and a nightmare for a manager.

Presumably that list is after tax!

Even with Messi gone I think the clubs payroll is still around 95% of revenue and there will be a big hit on shirt sales as well. They’ve appointed Goldman’s to help restructure things but in the short term things don’t look good for them

Amazing to see it there as a stat.

So careless. I assume the pandemic has decimated them, but really, how you can even be getting even remotely close to this is negligent beyond any sense that those within the organisation had a clue what they are doing.

Definitely been some optimistic accountancy in the past and then the best part of two years without fans or trophies.

Those wages are the after tax figures as well, so the actual wage bill is a lot higher.
