Actually I did invest in an Android box last year in anticipation for BT Sport upping their prices this year, to see how well it worked. I had no issues with it, it was certainly handy for 3 o’clock Saturday matches, but I’d still prefer to watch through Sky.

I actually expected it to be a lot more. Their comments about their pricing going to reflect what people paid for Sky had me worried. I probably will stick to the Android box initially, but it’s good to know that if that doesn’t work out then it’s only an extra £13.50.
It's not an android box though, it connects to your sky dish and you basically get all the sky channels. It just replaces your skybox, with all the channels decoded and it's not streamed. Only downside is, you can't the sky channels in HD, BT and others sre HD. With the new boxes, you get PPV as well.

I jacked all my sport coverage in as well , bad enough paying 36 a month for basic Sky stuff now.

As people said if they are not careful the bubble will burst in this country as more and more people I speak to our cancelling it.

I did consider that too at the time, but I'm too used to the convenience of Sky, with Sky plus, Sky Multi room, Sky Go, On demand etc.

It definitely is something that I'll consider if prices continue to rise or things get tight financially, but there are quite a few other luxeries that could be trimmed before Sky if it came to it. At least with Sky, I get my money's worth.

I actually don't think £13.50 for BT Sport is that bad either, I was expecting at least £20. It's certainly better value than the £7 I pay for LFC tv which hasn't been watched since the United game.

Itll be no different to how it was on ITV then. Maybe 2 games less during the group stages. They are showing the Final for free too.

Itll be a shame to miss out on the rest of the games though, as it usually throws up some interesting combos.

Premier League, rugby Premiership and SPL to remain free. European football to cost £5 per month for BT broadband customers.

You have to say, dispite being left behind for years. They are making a good fist of this.

Its just a shame that it didn't start a price war. All its done is made Sky introduce SS5. Which is the worst channel of the lot.

So does this mean I still get free Premier League, Champions League and Europa League football with my BT broadband package?

                              Not bad if so.

                                No

It means you get Premier League for free still. However unless you have the BT TV package you need to pay the extra £5 for the European stuff. Bit of a bust that.
