It may still be worth taking. If you do move house after 12 months, you should be able to buy out the remaining 6 months at a discounted price. It would probably work out at more than the £60 you are saving, so you'd need to weigh it up with the likelihood of you actually making the move after 12 months.

I only joined BT on 3rd May, I get a call yesterday from some arse saying did I know about the European channel? I said yes, he says I can get it for free if they renew my contract. It only started 6 weeks ago! I said no. Now had an email saying its £5 more a month to get this channel or I can 'renew' my contract and get it free. The new contract would be 18 months. It's sneeky, I deliberately only signed for 12 months in case I need to **** them off. If I move to somewhere more remote I may need to ditch them and go satellite.

Letter from Virgin today regarding the new BT channel. They're clumping it in with their top tier package for an extra £3, including HD. You don't get a choice on it.

That was always the intention as far as I knew. Anyway BT sport boss is an asshole - talking about giving sport back to the public - in the same way SKY do I suppose?

I'll be watching on TV3 for free in horrid SD (I suspect the youtube feed will look better!)

There is a free BT channel on Virgin. It doesn't have much worth watching on it, but I watched one of our early group games on it.

Ahh thats what it was then Dom. I seem to remember them promising to show at least one of each English teams games on the BT Showcase channel. I never saw any, but they must have been very early rounds.
