Anyone else thinking that if we get some good results that next season could actually be good for us?

Arsenal and Man City look the stronger sides with settled managers and good players. The others are on the same level as us as far as player/manager grades go.

It's weird; on one hand, I thought Chelsea would (potentially) be aces with the (young) squad they seem to be assembling. Then, on the t'other hand, Di Matteo is just awful.

di matteo is just a figure head, Romanski and Gruppenführer Terry will be the ones directing the Panzers.
removing all the weak links makes us stronger

too many gutless players, no beef or desire. pussies everywhere... sack them all.

With the squad they're assembling, it'd be pretty hard for us to pass Chelsea even still.

Di Matteo will get fired next summer and Pep will come in. It is all decided already. IMO.

That's my theory too . The extra year on his contract is just so he'll get a bit of compensation and to keep the press off his back.

Although I think it's what Chelsea want, I don't believe it's agreed or anything. I'm hoping Guardiola won't do it. I'd lose a lot of respect for him if he went there. I can't see him choosing Chelski as his next "project".

Unfortunately I can. He will need to go somewhere he has the financial muscle power to build a team - I doubt any major club in Europe will give him time to start a new Barcelona type project. If he did want this type of 'project' we would have been ideal, but we now have Brendan.

But Chelsea lack any kind of integrity and class, he knows that. The way they behaved in those Champions League games against Barca wouldn't have gone unnoticed with Guardiola. I'd be disappointed in him if he went there.

Lets hope he is the kind of person we think and does not end up there. But, if I was a betting man, I would lump it all on him ending up there - Roman is a stubborn ******* and will always get his man it seems.

Pep won't be a success anywhere but Barca (or us in a few years!).

Mate of mine has kindly passed on some Chelsea quotes from one of their forums (not sure which) some genuine comedy gold in there! Highlighted comments are my favourites

I'll be heartbroken if Guardiola even speaks to Spurs, hes ours. Di Matteo is just keeping the hotseat warm for when the King arrives.
So happy Di Matteo got the Chelsea job. Guardiola can stay on the dole forever as im concerned! Only one man for the job.

Post-Terry, England capt should be obvious. World class, automatic pick, most capped, most popular & respected pro among peers. Ashley Cole.

If Hazard was Argentine, people would admit he's better than Messi, it's just because he's Belgian that people say he's not.

Sergi Roberto the Barca midfielder is signing for us. They're a jumping ship and joining the new force of Europe. Barca a sinking ship.

Lampard will be the star player at Euro 2012.

We're entering the golden era. Enjoy it. You're never going to see a better footballing side than this Chelsea one ever.

I don't want Iniesta, he's too old and we're building for the future. He'd be good as back up. We have McEachran, he's the next Iniesta.

Liverpool can't compare their history to ours. We won stuff when it was competitive. They won stuff when it was easy. FACT.

A big factor in Hazard joining us was surely the chance to play week in week out at the most atmospheric stadium in Europe.

We're now the most valuable club in world football. FACT.

There will be a petition next summer to get us banned from football after we embarrass every team we face. We have the best team EVER.

Our kit is lush. Our players are good looking. Our manager (Guardiola) when he arrives, is good looking. We really are an 'attractive' club.

Can you change kit colours? I'd love it if we could have the same colours as Barca, would make sense now we're the Barca of England.

Liverpool still haven't reached 1,000,000 followers on Twitter. Small club.
Today is the the day everyone in England realises we have the next Messi on our hands, Hazard.

We have a better team than Barca: Cech > Valdes. Cole > Abidal. Van der Wiel > Alves. Lampard > Xavi. Torres > Villa. Hazard > Messi.

I think we would absolutely slaughter the Spanish national team.

Rodgers has the potential to be a world class manager! **** sake, i wanted him next summer if we couldn't get Guardiola! Bindipping *****!

I ******* hate them scousers. First they take Clarke, now ******* Rodgers. Do they want Di Matteo as well? Trying to be us!

Noooooooooo, if Brendan Rodgers goes to Liverpool his career is over! I rate him and hoped he could manage us one day! Gutted.

Look, Mata isn't going to be the next Messi, but Hazard is. So I'll be ********** off if Mata doesn't give his number 10 shirt to Hazard.

If we win 4 trophies for the next few years, which I think we will under Di Matteo then we will have more history than them bitter scousers.

When dad (Mourinho) comes home, Ronaldo will follow him, so Madrid will go back to top 4 mediocrity. No more title challenges.

NEVER call us the English Barcelona! We're the Champions of Europe. They should call themselves the Spanish Chelsea.
