But we won that one so it was class. I still remember where I was and what I was doing as news broke of us winning the race for him.

I know 2 Icelandic Journo's thru chatting to them on Twitter and they sen me anything they here. They work for some Icelandic website which is the equivalent of Goal.com but has a slightly better reputation.

Upto now it still appears that interview from his Dad is just rehashed from his interview ;ast week in to Icelandic Radio. Unless something new comes out tomorrow that I have seen yet.

A scouse lad I know from another forum with a good source has said Sigurdsson has defo signed for Spurs and apparently there is a pic of him doing the rounds in a Spurs top.

Its nothing we didn'texpect since tuesday though, but still a little disappointing that there wasn't some last minute intervention by Buck that turned the odds back in favour to us.

Not disappointing, I thinks its a good thing that 'buck' doesnt think he's worth the money, I reckon Shelvey will be atleast the same level as Sigurdsson this season and is 2 years younger, we have other positions to worry about hense why we havn't offered him the wages spurs have

I know but it was in the Icelandic media last week but none of our lot ran with it until now. I remember reading it about Tues/Weds last week and I know its the same one coz he said about him deciding by Sunday and the mabe, maybe not bit about Rodgers. He was saying then about the money rumours as this interview was a day or two after the news leaked out of Spurs coming in and offering more money.

A few days after this, I believe, he agreed to sign for Spurs for the money when it was clear he'd get no more money off us. I think he and his agent gambled on us increasing his offer once Spurs came on the scene and we obviously wouldn't.

Feel find out later today or Monday anyway then I'll know if the info I've been given was a load of horse**** or not. I hope it is coz I badly want us to sign him but I'm certain we won't and think a lot of people who are clutching at straws and hoping things will change are going to be very disappointed.

If Spurs have had this deal sealed for a good few days or more now they should of just announced it, even though he was on loan they could of announced he would sign on July 1st when his loan deal at Swansea has finished, but they want to announce at the same time as other news so they can all wank each other silly in a massive Cockney Cock off.
