One crappy little rumour's all we've had to feed off this summer.
One stinking rumour for Gyfli ****ing Sigurdson . I dunno what's happening with the Internet but I expect way more from it these days. Way more.
You'll never guess who I've just seen walking into the Hilton in Liverpool One... Only Gylfi Sigurdsson and his agent! Done deal?!
So in this day and age where everyone over 5 has a camera enabled phone, not one photo of said alleged sightings. You can upload photos to Twitter people!
AVB to be announced Manager of Spurs on Tuesday ( which Tuesday remains a mystery though)
Tottenham all set to confirm they're giving manager fired after less than a year at Chelsea another stab at English football
Just the job: Spurs will confirm Villas-Boas' appointment within hours
Tottenham will name Andre Villas-Boas as Harry Redknapp's successor on Tuesday.
The north Londoners are understood to have handed former Porto and Chelsea coach Villas-Boas a four-year deal and asked him to get them back into the Champions League.
Spurs' players were informed on Monday that AVB is going to be appointed after he agreed the finer details of his deal.
The Mirror revealed last Wednesday that Spurs chairman Daniel Levy had offered the ex-Chelsea boss the job.
Villas-Boas' severance package from Chelsea meant he could not be apppointed before July 1.
Spurs are also set to confirm that coach Tim Sherwood has been promoted to a director of football role, freeing up AVB to work solely with the players.
Tottenham are expected to break the news on their website, but no press conference is scheduled - and there won't be one until after the players come back to begin their pre-season.*
The north London club remain confident of landing defender Jan Vertonghen from Ajax for around £10million, as well as Hoffenheim midfielder Gylfi Sigurdsson and Marseille striker Loic Remy.
Sigurdsson has undergone a medical, but Liverpool have also been after the Icelandic midfielder following his impressive loan spell at Swansea last season.***********
Villas-Boas has already received a boost with Gareth Bale having signed a new deal until 2016, but there is an acceptance that fellow midfielder Luka Modric is off.
