Are people seriously questioning FSG because we haven't signed Gylfi?

They stumped up £20m for Downing, £16m for Henderson and £35m for Carroll......

They have and will overpay to get players the manager wants. They have said there is never a budget and each player will be signed on their own merits.

I can guarantee that we didn't raise our offer because one man didn't think he was worth the fee/wages - Brendan Rodgers. And I think he'd know better than anyone else.

Granted it's hear'say, but if he was going to accept 'x' at Swansea, he can accept 'x' at Liverpool. If Spurs offer him 'y' which is substantially more than 'x', more fool them.

As for Gilf, he could have followed the money; can't fault him and can't fault us, so yeah ... meh.

No they did not... most of that money came from sales, their actual imput was very little apart from saying yes.

I'm neither here nor there, really don't care as I don't think he would've improved our squad. We need to be adding 2 or 3 proven world beaters imo, not more potential.

Really hope we use that money to go for a proven superstar and a couple of others with great potential...i still think our transfer signings this window highlight our ambition. And i still think with 2 top signings we should be aiming to finish in the top 4 and get back into the champs league!
