Not my cup of tea and I'd be very surprised that we sign 29 year old unless FSG is doing it specifically to raise their profile in untapped market like USA but that would be completely against their policy of attracting "value for money" younger players.

I think he is a big risk and signing players like him on decent or high wages put us in this predicament where we are stuck with some massive wage bill and cannot offload the current deadwood.
