Lucas has became such a good player I don't think it matters if Allen is here or not, yeah he's better than Spearing but if Lucas goes missing again this November we'll still suffer massively IMO.

I agree with the Gerrard thing though, I just wonder if he wants to play there and not further back like he did for England.

Think that if he plays further up then him and Suarez link-up will be awesome. I think of that Everton game when he scored the hat-trick. I think the further up the pitch he plays the better as we need our world-class players close to each other.

I agree, I prefer Gerrard in a more advanced role.

We clearly targeted a AM though, if you don't get a player you want you usually move on to another target for the same position.

Look at United over the past few seasons, failed bringing in Sanchez, Nasri and Hazard and they're heavily linked with Lucas now. Just an example.

Id prefer Walcott, Tello or Johnson however if we can't afford Walcott, and Tello doesnt want to move and Johnson ends up at Everton on loan due to the Rodwell deal then i guess Dempsey is the only option left and tbh if we flog adam off at the same time then its not a bad one imo. So long as he signs for decent wages.
