Didn't think we missed out at the time and was quite happy we didn't pay over the odds for the bloke.

Still would have liked Sigurdsson, because last year he was showing flashes of what he could do. Just never got a run in the side to do it.
    *Except Michael, who died.

For some reason you're username makes me think of Unix programs.

I need to get out more.

Personally, I don't think we missed out at all.
I don't think we can easily quantify it.

Did we need another attacking player in the team and squad in the early parts of last season - absolutely. So did we miss out, yes we did.

Would we have won more games with a Siggurdson or Dempsey playing for us - who knows!

I don't think either performed particularly well for Spurs last season but that isn't conclusive evidence that they'd have flopped at LFC.

Finally, if either of those players signing meant we missed out on Coutinho and Sturridge then our failures last summer have actually helped the club for the longer term.

Surely it has way too many vowels?

If only I were a programmer, I'm sure that's hilarious.
              .
Suppose you have a physicist and a sociologist standing at the side of a field, observing a set of events unfolding on the field. The physicist does [describes] it using the terminology of mass and velocity and frequency of radiation and the rest. And the sociologist does it by describing it as a rugby match.

                yeah, it's too long too.

It's similar to a program I run occasionaly on Solaris.

I once heard some accountants laugh their heads off when one of them playfully suggested an item could be put in the petty cash account rather than capital expenditure.

I'm feeling much the same mixture of consternation and pity now as I did then.

There ain't no party like a chartered accountant's party.

Especially as the dip is normally tax deductable.

I think that "-" is misplaced or am I missing a non-Simpsons/maths related joke?
