The BBC don't even bother saying anything interesting, they just laugh at each other's crap puns and come across like they're just hearing about household name players for the first time.

Keane is scathing and witheringly accurate in everything he says. Liked his dismissive chuckle when the rest of the panel were saying Spain need to play with a striker.

Keane and Carragher were pretty good then - not sure what Martinez was rabbiting on about though. Chiles is **** too.

They are fairly entertaining but there was little real analysis or even insight. We saw the first goal about a million times and learnt that France played with no passion and Malouda is a bit lazy at times. Staggering.

I think Martinez might have had interesting things to say but he really doesn't fit into the ITV format and Chiles buts in before he finishes a point.

Carragher's Alonso love was good to see.

Last night's game wasn't up to much, but the tournament as a whole has been really good. its been far better than the dross we have had in the last two World Cups, higher standards and far less predictable.

The only cunt in the ointment is that England haven't been knocked out yet, bu Roy's press conferences have been worth keeping them around for, he's ****ing gormless!

I've loved watching Holland implode and Germany crush.

France were disappointing. I hope Blanc does become tottenham manager ...seems a bit **** to me.

As for Spain, even though they are not at their best...it's all comparative really. If that was the first time you've watched them play you would be very impressed. They are a great side.

I think his pre-tournament record has to be considered which was excellent. I think he suffered from a group of players who can't get on with/handle tournament conditions. Capello seemed to have similar (if less extreme) problems with England at the World Cup.

His plan was limited but to a large extent it worked. Unfortunately for him players like Nasri and Ribery didn't look willing/able to push on to exploit Spain as they tired.

Well funny you should mention Nasri as I think he's been very good this tournament (first two games especially) and to leave him on the bench was a bad decision. Obviously, it was for tactical reasons but I'm not one for leaving out one of your best players for 'tactical reasons' in a massive game especially if you have gall to play Malouda instead who's not that great at tracking back either.
