Maybe so, but he said no rather than not that he'd heard. Would we not say he had more credibility than those pushing the Twitter rumours? Wouldn't want to read much into them one way or another really.

That simply isn't true these days though. Seriously, look at all those twitter randoms putting stuff out about this, who are any of them? None of them know anything at all. All it takes these days is one random source, doesn't matter where from, can be a foreign sports paper, tribull, one of our crappy tabloids or even an online luminary like Duncan Jenkins and next thing you've got 500 people repeating it as if its their knowledge, adding their own twists but essentially the same nonsense. Its both a fascinating process and utterly, utterly ridiculous.

I'd love to be able to come up with a filtering process where we could exclude each and every one of these attention seeking bull****ters from being repeated on this site, but on a practical basis that's hard to do without being overly strict. I suppose its mostly harmless, especially in such a slow summer, but these days it should surely be clear that there frequently is a ****load of smoke without even a tiny bit of fire. Darn electronic cigarettes.

Looks to me like we're waiting for the big spenders to finish up before we make our signings. Maybe get a couple of decent surplus players at a good price from those clubs. Kind of reflects where the club is without CL to prepare for.
