Dr Kantor claiming it is a lesser known Nazi salute is a little disingenuous. While it may have a racist or anti-semitic intention that the guy is hiding referring to it a Nazi is just clouding the issue by drawing in an organisation that did appalling things against Jewish people. The salute was created by this guy himself, not the Nazi's

Also, this chap has a series of convictions for various comments and actions yet a French court has ruled that the gesture is too vague to prosecute.

So if Anelka is getting banned he is getting banned for a gesture that is not illegal in the country where he made it, nor the country where it originated (from which is also where the fuss is coming from).
