Imo he should've played more last year but that would still not change the fact that he's not good enough to make the cut.Originally posted by Exiled_red View PostWhich is a damning indictment based on the quality of our forwards last year
Too bad we were unable to sell him last year as we could have ended up with 14m not that we would've invested that money wisely.
5-6m mentioned in regards to potential offer by Fiorentina now is not a lot but at this point it is all about moving him out.Member #1 of the Luis Suarez fan club

I agree with all that
The only gracious way to accept an insult is to ignore it; if you can't ignore it, top it; if you can't top it, laugh at it; if you can't laugh at it, it's probably deserved.

Or have we really screwed him over? I don't think we can put the blame solely at a player for wanting to stay at our club when we've given him the contract we have. That the manager / club doesn't want to use him is really another matter.
I think it goes both ways tbh. Borini never really got a decent shot here, and I think it's okay he doesn't want to leave at all costs - sometimes we fans even get angry when players does want to leave

Id have liked him to get more of chance last season, but it seems like he angered the manager when not leaving so he's was probably not going to get much of a chance.Originally posted by Darkon View PostOr have we really screwed him over? I can't believe we could have had £14m for him last summer.

I understand that he has a contract, but football isn't like regular business. I really think that clubs have themselves to blame offering such lucrative contracts to average players. Where is a player's motivation to succeed and to play when he's going to earn loads of money for doing nothing?
