Yep, it's mad this. Maybe he will be average, crap or whatever, who knows but he needs and deserves more than about 300 minutes in the league to show it. Didn't score in his first 5 for Roma either but ended the season on 9 in 24 and most times I saw them he was coming from wide left. An excellent return.

Some of our lot would have had the likes of Pires, Bale and co sold after a couple of games aswell, players can actually improve especially players of his age.

Broken foot or ankle I think.

I hope it doesn't affect him. Remember reading the Fowler autobiog (took all of 3 hours...) and he said he was never the same after a bad ankle injury against one of the Bristol teams when he was 21.

I like his movement but if he'll ever turn out to be a good buy for us and start scoring goals he needs string of games and he needs to play in the middle.

If BR continues to play him out of position we may as well sell him in the summer.

If we sign a couple of forward players in January, Borini will slot right in. He'll be coming of the bench and starting the odd game here & there. That was what he was doing at Roma and it will allow him to develop nicely.

Too much too soon for our young players this season. Suso, Sterling & Borini just don't have that composure and ability needed to play on a regular basis at the top level. It will come. All three have bags of ability.

although Borini hasn't really impressed, Rodgers has done him no favours playing him out wide

I'm not sure his proper role is strictly wide. He certainly wasn't playing there when we played against Gomel - his movement was superb and he scored a poacher's goal. That lineup was supposedly close to what Rodgers was planning for LFC - I know it was only Gomel, but he looked fantastic when we were playing players where we should be playing them.
