It's very rare I give up on Liverpool players, but I said in the summer Borini won't be here much longer and it didn't go down well. If the rumours about bids from Italy were true in the summer, we really should have cashed in. We should have even loaned him to a Dutch club, anybody can score goals over there.

Yeah, he seemed like a bit of a panic buy with Rodgers having just started. Bad luck with injuries, but basically not good enough.

Hard to judge him because he din't really suit our system. Think he'd have did much better in our current line-up, and I'd consider taking him back as cover now Aspas is out (if Sunderland agreed).

Feel kinda bad for him cos I think he made the wrong choice in returning to England with us. He was getting game time with Roma and probably could have improved a lot more during the whole time he's been here.

If we're honest, he has no technique and he struggles with the simple things you take for granted with players at this level like first touch and running with the ball, I'd even add short passing into that. Maybe its confidence or maybe its lack of ability but either way there is a massive problem with him and we would be better off selling to the highest bidder.

A total waste of the transfer fee we paid. That's the second time Roma have bent us over. Not that I'm blaming Borini as the fee is not his fault and everytime he's played he has gave his all.

In the past 2 summer transfer windows we have spent close to £18m on Borini and Aspas when the money should have been better spent. With Aspas its early days and he is a very skillful player but lacks the physical strength at the minute.
