I thought he showed VERY well for the ball and held it up very well, he got back to defend, was all over the pitch working hard. I was massively impressed by him and for him to score as well, it was icing on a very good performance. I like him a lot. Didn't think twice when the ball came to his feet, not overly intricate; I hope he goes on from here and bangs them in.

Agree with most of what has been said.

Worked incredibly hard, made a lot of tackles and helped win the ball up the pitch which we didn't do enough of last season.

He also seems a lot quicker than I thought he was.

Also, as has also been said, he released the ball quickly and wanted it back. Him Suarez and Gerrard look good together.

hopefully it will release the pressure on Downing too, who can focus on getting the ball into dangerous areas, with the help of Johnson overlaping.

It seems like they go well together (johnson and Downing) and with enrique wanting the whole left hand side, having borini in the centre often is hopefully going to work well for us.
