He's also clearly not match fit either.

He was unlucky with the shot, the keeper spread himself well and made himself look big and that made it more difficult for him to score.

He got into some good positions and bar a couple of poor decisions by the linesman he might have scored, he has great energy and is always running, I'm positive for him think he'll be good for us.

It happened against West Brom as well IIRC

            Shame really that.

He just needs to keep doing what he's doing, when he's sharper he'll beat the offside trap more and more and will tuck them away.

The awfulness of our midfield didn't exactly help today.

Yes but he did flap once at a great opening (created by the lazy and dire Henderson) and smashed the foot of the post when it was easier to score.

His movement is very good, was unlucky with his shot that hit the post.

I think he's best through the middle, Suarez could put them on a plate for him.

I reckon he'll get about 10 - 15 goals this season, then take off next.

He seems to be quite one footed, I noticed a few times he went for balls with his right foot when he should have gone with his left.

Yeah, the Henderson ball and the OG chance were better suited to the left foot.

Could be a confidence thing though.

He's going to be a good player for us when he's settled. He pays tight off the center halves and heads for space naturally. Generally in football that gets you goals.

Way too early to judge him yet, but at least he gets into the six yard box at the right times. He'll score goals, I'm sure of that, I'm just not sure he'll score enough to warrant making that middle spot of the front three his own.

I want us to sign a goal machine

                            Early days i know.

Just wondering what people have made of him?

For me, being played out wide he looks so unnatural. Can't beat a man, technique is awful & although puts the effort in which is commendable, he's kind of running around like a headless chicken.

I was under the impression we bought this guy as a poacher of some sort? Much rather see Suarez (who is so inconsistent infront of goal) out wide, in a position that Suarez naturally drifts out to anyways & play Borini as the central striker.

Wasn't overly impressed when we signed him, more so just hoping he turns out good. Frankly he has looked a bit **** thus far, but IMO out wide definitely does not suit him or us.

Lots of effort which is commendable. Being played out of position isn't helping him at all. Hopefully Rodgers has picked up on this and will rectify things after the international break.

What is it now? 4 games? Still too early to judge but I am going to anyway.

Good attitude and hard working. Would like to see him switch with Luis and start a few games down the middle rather than out wide. Then we will see how natural or instinctive he is in front of goal. Overall I was expecting a bit more tbh, but it is still very early days!
