I'd want a signing with enough talent to worry the other two. Spend a decent chunk of our budget on him. A real up and coming talent who'd keep the other two on their toes. It's unhealthy in the long run for them not to be challenged. Let's be honest Borini and Aspas are worrying no one.

I think we'd all want someone totally **** hot as 3rd choice but I think it's unrealistic. Borini is an Italian international who has only just turned 23 and is still improving. Also he knows Rodgers and his way of working very well, which I think is fairly important. Rodgers loves him. I'd be a little bit surprised if we sold him.

Cisse was my first ever "Youtube player". He was around when it first caught on and I remember links to videos being emailed around and he seemed unbelievable. He was insanely fast and he never missed! (Little did we know someone had cleverly edited out every single show he skied into row Z ).

I'm not suggesting we will sell him, just that I'd like to. Finishing first this season was also a little realistic but watch us fly! I say let's aim high now while we're in vogue.

We need quality and quantity, if we want to play in the PL, CL, FA cup, League Cup and Community Shield (:P).

And you can't just exclude points that don't suit you. He's playing on the wing for Sunderland which is ****, playing on the wing for us would already be different, playing up front for us (which I don't know why think is impossible, we do use strikers in our system from time to time) would be even better. I think he should be given a chance.

He doesn't always play on the wing for Sunderland though, he's had some games up front. Lets also not forget that one of his three goals was a pen, so that's only 2 league goals from open play all season.

That may not be enough to condemn a player, there could be viable excuses, but in his year here he didn't show enough, he didn't stand out much for our reserves and despite being one of the oldest players there, didn't look good for Italy in the U-21's in the summer. Again excuses can be made, injuries etc, but sooner or later these excuses are going to run out and people will have to face up to the truth.


I do like him though, seems a good lad. Just not good enough for us.

Aye, if we even get to a penalty shoot out, he may come in handy. Bar that, he would never get into a side ahead of Sturridge for me.

Never in a million years would he ever displace Sturridge. That's a harsh criticism though as as only a handful of player would!

My main issue is would I trust him to start a run of games if we suffered with injuries and suspensions? No. I think our results would suffer.

I realise I'm being ambitious (or unrealistic as Shaggy put it), but I think we should be aiming higher now if at all possible.

Three goals all season is "more than good enough"? That's a goal every 511 minutes. One goal for us in 513 minutes the season before that. I'm sorry, I just don't agree.
