Yeah, safe as houses. I don't see him as particularly prolific but more of a scorer of the odd vital goal when all else has failed. Brendan obviously thinks he's a good fit for us. More than happy to take him back after the way he's knuckled down this season. Definitely seems to have the right attitude, work rate etc.

Yeah, I've mellowed on him now so I roughly agree. Our squad is woefully small so I think there's more than room for him in the squad. He came good for them when they needed him most. He stepped up. That's a quality he'll need when called upon for us next season.Originally posted by Nigey View PostSo in short, he would be decent backup. Let Suarez/Sturridge start all CL and PL games and Borini in the cups, with the bonus of getting him on as a sub in games. Not sure he's got what it takes to change games mind.

In the league he got 7 goals and 2 assists from 32 games.
In all comps he got 10 goals and 3 assists from 42 games.
In all comps he started 30 games and came on as a sub in 12.

To be honest I see him as a good option as a 4th choice striker, he can come off the bench when we need a goal and start in the cups, but I am not sure I'd like to rely on him for a long period of time if Suarez or Sturridge were out.The only gracious way to accept an insult is to ignore it; if you can't ignore it, top it; if you can't top it, laugh at it; if you can't laugh at it, it's probably deserved.

Have to take into account he rarely played up top as a striker for Sunderland. He only ever played out wide when I watched him.
If we didn't own him, would anyone want to sign him? Can't say I would tbh. But he's a good lad & a hard worker. We need a Solskjaer type player, does he fit the bill?Forwards.......
