what is wrong with people on twitter that feel they need to abuse the lad?
Rodgers bought him here for big money, he suffered with injuries, went on loan proved himself as decent and came back and Rodgers no longer feels he is relevant. Rodgers has to mark that down as poor judgement in the first place, if anything the Borini today is a better player than the one that arrived. The player wants to stay and see what happens. Fair play I say. Sturridge and one of the others could easily pick and injuries and we will be pleased to have the back up option. Come end of the season or January I'm sure if it hasn't happened he will be on his way.Always borrow money from a pessimist. He won’t expect it back. Oscar Wilde

I run to see who has the most guts, who can punish himself into exhausting pace, and then at the end, punish himself even more.

- no chance on that front unless Borini is handy in goal? Origi coming in next season pretty much ends any hope he has of a future unless Lambert is a catastrophe and Borini goes on a goal blitz.

I really cant see any problem with Borini staying. Were we looking to replace him? Apparently not. Does he add squad depth? Yes. It's not like we needed the money from the sale.
Puzzling that supporters are laying into him for wanting to stay at LFC rather than join ****e like Sunderland and QPR.

Another £12m in the transfer kitty for a signing in January wouldn't do any harm, but I take your point, it's nice to know we have cover.Originally posted by Paddy View PostI really cant see any problem with Borini staying. Point taken also, maybe we'll sell him in January after he has little playing time, but I'd far rather have him here and not need him than money in the bank and not have him, or a replacement till January.Originally posted by Pablo View PostAnother £12m in the transfer kitty for a signing in January wouldn't do any harm, but I take your point, it's nice to know we have cover.

All this talk of him having to take a pay cut to go to QPR is utter bilge. He was offered 60 grand a week which I believe is a fair whack more than he's currently on with us.
He's certainly not the money grabber that he's being made out to be!
I've just done some hunting, it seems he's on 50 grand a week with us.Last edited by chadrtc; 02-09-14, 04:11 PM.Cult Member. Nazi puncher.

Like I said before, Rodgers has given other players lifelines in the past and they've taken it despite their LFC career looking like it was over. I'd say it's more commendable than anything else. I'm not sure how many minutes he's going to get, but he could be handy, particularly if there are a few injuries.
People calling a young player a cunt/****/****** etc for wanting to stay at Liverpool
Another MASSIVE game
