I was just about to write the same thing but then thinking it's us that bug the **** out of me we are slow as **** to do anything, sturridge was only done quick to fix the big **** up over the summer, we have lost recent players drawing things out trying to save a few pennies. We need to learn to do things quicker, more efficiently and quietly

What bugs the **** out of me is we musn't be an attractive prospect....I don't know what it is, could be a mixture of things, but we really do seem to miss out on a lot of players, I could handle it when it was united/arsenal cause they were the best teams in the league or losing out to Chelsea then city because they offered ridiculous money.

But now we also seem to consistently get beat by spurs for players

Spurs don't seem to spend big anymore. Sigg , Fyers , Holtby all free. All probably on decent wages for youngsters.

The clubs reputation was damaged by H&G if you ask me. As a result we are still suffering from that.

Arsenal and Chelsea are nailed on for 3rd and 4th. If not we're in with an outside chance. I don't think Spurs will get into CL next season. Too many new players too soon, plus a new manager. They'll bottle it as they always do.

I dunno, at the time the Sigurdsson transfer really ****ed me off when Spurs got him but it's hard to find fault in them this time. Not like we were truly in for Holtby. They were actually in the chase, wanted him more, and voila.

We're not able to compete for the best players any more.

We have to be more wiley. We need to use nouse and guile. Is Rodgers the man to do that? We'll see. But Rafa went through a huge turnover of mid-value players in order to achieve incremental improvements to the overall squad. He only really spent big on Mascherano, Torres and Keane ().
