So what are you saying, don't sign a player if he's from London as he'll definately flop ?

      Plain daft that imo.

The problem with Konchesky, was that he was Konchesky.

edit: The problem with Joe Cole, is that he is now ****e.

I think it's a cultural shock for them London heads when they move to the north west as they can't handle it!
Nope, don't need anger management, you just need to stop pissing me off!

Why wouldn't it be the same for any player coming from a big city, or even a different culture abroad even ?

I just don't see it as being a London thing is all, it's just dependant on the individual player imo.

As far as the players we bought from that area being flops, imo it just so happens we've bought mainly crap or players looking for a final pay day.

I do understand what your saying though, and we do need to judge a players character better when making signings imo.

                hmmmm could be very interesting.

If he's available and is leaving we really should be in for him

We need squad depth for fock sake..... Walcott on the training ground will also make raheem a much better player...
But there's another side to it. Walcott is demanding that he's played as a central striker. Do you think he's going to be happy being understudy to Sterling? I'd rather we kept Sterling happy and looked at strengthening elsewhere. Sterling's position (left mid) is well covered at the club with Enrique, Downing and Assaidi all able to play there. I just can't see a fit at Liverpool for Walcott that would satisfy him

The news will be about some 12 year old reserve player I bet (or mentalist Frimpong).

Arsene Wenger insists Arsenal will not sell Theo Walcott in January.

That means the club could face losing Walcott, 23, for nothing in the summer as the England international's contract expires at the end of the season.

Walcott would be free to sign a pre-contract agreement with another club in January if a new deal is not agreed.

Talks over a new contract have stalled and asked if the winger would be sold if negotiations continued into 2013, the Arsenal manager replied: "No."

Walcott rejected a five-year deal worth £75,000 a week in August, and has indicated his future may rest on whether he plays in a striking role.

He has scored nine goals from 17 appearances from his position on the wing for the Gunners this season and is the club's leading scorer.

And Wenger, who says Walcott must be patient in his demands to switch from a winger to striker, remains confident that a new contract can be agreed with the midfielder who joined Arsenal from Southampton in 2006 for £12.5m.

"We continue in a positive way. I told you many times we have until the end of December to sort this out," Wenger added.

Walcott's Arsenal and England team-mate Jack Wilshere says he does not want to see another big-name player quit Emirates Stadium.

Robin van Persie joined Manchester United in August, Alex Song moved to Barcelona in the same month and Cesc Fabregas joined the Spanish giants in 2011.

"He is an English lad and he's great to have around the dressing room," Wilshere said. "But that is up to him, the boss and the board. They are going to do whatever they are going to do. I hope he signs."

                                I think he'll stay.

Judging by his body language and reaction after being interviewed on Sunday that he's happy there.

He played really well the other day I thought, played very intelligently and used the ball well.

Besides if he came to us he'd probably end up being ****e knowing us, we have a habit of turning decent players in total utter garbage ****e.

                                Nice one LFC.
