I was gutted when he left for Madrid but was angry when he signed for the Mancs, so probably the Mancs taking him miffed me more.

It was always England love affair for me.Even when he was with us I couldn't take to him. He just seemed like a snidey out for himself prick and so it proved.

I hated him and McMoneyman for the way they left in the first place. But I would have forgave him if he had come back after his season in Madrid.

Instead he cemented his place as one of the most despicable players we have ever had.

I couldn't even bring myself to clap him at Carra's testimonial, I had a one man silent protest. Fair play to the rest of the crowd for giving him a polite round of applause but I need a lot longer before the wounds heal.

I have no ill feelings towards McManaman. I thought it was fairly common knowledge he was only ever staying as long as his mum was alive. He was never leaving while she was ill and as soon as she departed he left for Spain. No qualms with that.

Owen is just a complete **** bag

Could never warm to him. When Fowler scored 20 goals a season I was chuffed, but I remember thinking at the time how I could never back Owen like I backed Fowler. I just don't think he cared for LFC or the fans tbh.

Very much a me, me, me sort of person.
